Unique handcrafted woodwork

I started teaching myself the art of woodworking over 20 years ago. After buying our first house (a 73 year old Craftsman bungalow), my wife and I completely committed to the Arts & Crafts style. Struggling to get our respective careers going, we never had much of a budget for home restoration, so we started tackling projects ourselves. Twenty years later, we had renovated our house, bought the next one and started all over. By this time, I had created not only custom mouldings and built-ins from scratch, but also a craftsman settle, standing cabinet, coffee table, box beams, a chandelier and much more. But it was a sudden tragedy that led me to making my first box (actually, an urn) and from there, I began focussing on smaller pieces, including cutting boards, charcuterie boards and coasters. Coupled with an extreme downturn in Television Production, my new-found passion for intricate, detailed custom woodwork took over the lion's share of my working hours, leading me to create MykWorx.
